| Thank You Lord Voldemort |

| | accomplished | ] | Back on July 31st, the day before I was induced and I had Allison, I posted the last chapter of TYLV to FFnet. Here is a link to it. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1536003/27/ It was very rushed, and I'm sorry for that. I'm thinking of rewriting parts of it eventually, but most of my computer time involves holding a squirmy baby so I can't type much. I just realized that I had never posted a notice of that last chapter to my LJ. Sorry about that. I have had the first chapter of a new fic written for about a year, but I want to get much farther ahead on that before I start posting it. Yes, hermionegreen, it's the one that I had sent to you a long time ago. I still keep thinking about it, but then I realize how much RL stuff I've got going on. Just the other day I purchased a new domain name for my mom's website with the help of Ataraxis. It's http://www.trudymarie.com It used to be www.geocities.com/countrysingertrudymarie which was just unbarable to try and explain to some older person (most of my mom's fans) Thank you Ataraxis for the hosting suggestion and help with the guestbook! ((shameless plug -= if you are in the Maryland - Delaware area and like Patsy Cline, check out Trudy Marie's website))

| What a year! |
[Jan. 4th, 2006|03:20 pm] |
Hi.
Alot has happened in a year. August 1st I gave birth to a beuatiful baby girl. She is now 5 months old.
When I created this live journal a couple of years ago it was to get help with writing fics.
Here at LJ I made many friends, read lots of fics, and joined too many groups.
I wrote drabbles, fics, participated in role-playing and round robins and basically immersed my self in potter-verse.
Then everything changed.
My whole perception changed.
I couldn't bring myself to sit at the computer and write.
Anytime I was online it was to read pregnancy and parenting tips.
I still read updates to WIPs I was following, but rarely left feedback anymore.
I let my paid subscription expire.
I'm sorry if I dissapointed everyone. I don't want anyone that I met here to think that they aren't important, and I cherish the times I spent at my computer reading my friends list.
I'm still alive, just preoccupied.
Most of my computer time is while holding a squirming baby, so prolonged typing isn't much of an option.
I always have fic ideas swimming around my brain, and it isn't out of the question that I will write fics again.

| I've missed quite a bit. |
[Dec. 17th, 2004|08:44 pm] |
I've been rather under the weather lately. Not only have I not written anything, but I haven't read my flist in over a week. My to do list is getting incredibly long. I'm not sure when I'll be back on track, but even once I do there will likely be some changes. My life is changing and it won't leave much room for fandom. I want to at least finish all of my WIPs. I just don't think I'll have much time for reading anymore. I don't think I'll have time for any RPGs either. And to my friends at hproundrobin, I probably won't be signing up for anything, but I'll at least try to keep reading your great work.
I'm still wondering why I just renewed my paid status knowing that I'm neglecting LJ all together.
For those of you on the list, I am still trying to finish up the christmas cards. I hope to get them in the mail early next week.
I'm just frustrated. |

| Fanfiction.net C2 communities |
[Oct. 3rd, 2004|04:50 pm] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | cheerful | ] | Fanfiction.net has started some sort of community/directory listing feature. From what I gather, you create a C2 community, give it a name and discription, and it becomes some sort of listing for those sorts of fics.
So, I looked through them. I didn't see any that were Snarry, so I created it. It's here - http://www.fanfiction.net/c2/4851/0/1/
If anyone is interested in being part of the staff, comment with your FFnet ID, and I will add you. The way that it looks like it will work, is that you just start adding some of your favorite Snarry stories.
This seems like it will be an interesting endevor. I wasn't sure if I should jump right in and make my own, but when "Snarry" was still available as a community name, I jumped at it. |

| Ladder 49 |
[Oct. 2nd, 2004|08:13 pm] |
Wow. Ladder 49 is beyond awesome. The research, time, and detail that they put into it really show. It is a must see. I just shouldn't have seen it the night before my husband went to work. Guh. Things I liked: The acting, the plot, the detail, the flashing lights, the parallels.
BTW, I got Joaquine Phoenix's autograph on a movie poster. :D
It is so much more accurate than Backdraft was. It's a bit more cliche, but very well done. Loved it.

| OMG, I've accomplished something! |
[Sep. 24th, 2004|05:07 pm] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | rejuvenated | ] | What a summer this has been! It's been full of me doing everything but working on my fics. Now it's fall, wich means less yard work, less fire conventions, and a bit less work. (I'd been filling in for other people that were on vacation.)
So, what have I done?
I finally finished the hproundrobin chapter I've been sitting on. I've sent that to my beta, and it should be posted in the next day or two.
I really have been working on the next chapter for "Thank You Lord Voldemort" and it is about halfway finished. And, I never realized that when I posted chapter 25 that I never posted it to The Silver Snitch, so I just posted it there.
Here is a link to "Thank You Lord Voldemort" at The Silver Snitch. For those of you that don't know, that is the NC17 version of my story. |

| Please stop the madness |
[Sep. 22nd, 2004|11:52 am] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | annoyed | ] | This video has been circling around my friend list for a couple of weeks.
Please don't believe it!
I was there. I saw the plane pieces. I saw the lawn before the FBI came around with paper bags, picking up all of the pieces. I watched the FBI use a crane to pick up a piece of twisted metal ten feet long. I stepped over the riveted surround of what was once a window. I saw a wheel. I saw a fire that was obviously fueled by jet fuel.
The Pentagon smoldered for several days, and it wasn't because the structural concrete was burning.
A building with no structural steel or wood doesn't create metal debris and burn that well.
Also, the perfectly shaped hole was caused by one of the planes engines that broke loose and went further through the building.
Our government might not always be on the up and up, but they wouldn't kill that many people for show.
I know too many people that are good with photoshop to believe anything I see on the internet or in Michael Moore's films.
If you think there is a conspiracy then I'm part of it. |

| | contemplative | ] | I've been trying to think of something to post today to reflect on what happened on 9-11-01, and my husband gave me this idea.
As most of you know, I am in the fire department. Well, there is a Yahoo group, WOF_Report (World of Fire Report), that fire buffs from around the country send emails to to report any major fire in their town. On any given day there could be 25 to 50 messages from around the country.
Behind the LJ-cut is the digest from 9-11-01, showing the messages as they were recieved that day. It not only captures the progression of the terrorist attacks, but responses from other areas of the country, ie closing the sears towers and Disneyworld. The digest starts with midnight 9-11-01, goes through the morning, and ends at midnight 9-12-01.

| Happy Birthday Mort! |

| [ | Current Mood |
| | artistic | ] | Birthday Drabble for you... (I also sent this to your email, but I wanted to post it here too.)
Severus waited in the dark cell he had been taken to, using his spying abilities to try to figure out where in Merlin's beard he was. Listening in on conversations had been fruitless. The odd mumblings of the women running around did not make much sense, but they seemed to be praising Voldemort. At least, it sounded like they were saying Voldemort, though only the last part of the name was clear.
It had been hours, with no relief in sight. Magic did not seem to work in this place, so resistance was futile. The women of this, this compound had taken him from his cell to a large washroom where he was stripped of his clothes. Hands were all over him, cleaning him. Finally, he was draped in a linen cloth and brought up several flights of steps. He was in some sort of tower. That much he was sure of.
One of the girls, it seems they call themselves fan-girls, knocked on the door. Odd that none of them were carrying fans though. After a minute, maybe longer, the door opened to reveal a stunning man, wearing a similar cloth. He gasped when he saw me.
One of his hands came to my face, tracing the lines of it. He ran his index finger along the bridge of my nose. His mouth opened and closed several times, as though he was trying to speak.
Suddenly, I was pushed into his arms by one of the girls. Another of the girls handed this man some sort of card in a pink envelope. All of the girls spoke at once, "Happy Birthday Mort." |

| | artistic | ] | Following the lead of my friends, I've decided to start posting one interesting picture a week.
Yes, I'm still writing my fics.
Okay, this weeks picture is of a vehicle that I see often on my way to work. This gentlemen has several 'Art Cars' that he drives around. The other one has fake hands all over it. Hopefully I'll get a pic of it soon.
Anyway, a moment of Zen for you all.

In the meantime, I finally got my first gmail invite. If you are interested in getting a gmail account, leave a comment. I brief paragraph on why you are worthy would be good enough. Good Luck.
For the rest of you, here are some pictures I've taken lately of animals.

| My thoughts on gmail |
[Jul. 23rd, 2004|08:49 am] |
First, the good:
1. I like the conversations. I subscribe to quite a few yahoo message boards, and all of the comments get neatly sorted for me. Gmail is by far the best place to view any sort of mailing list.
2. I like the labels. There is only one complaint I have about the labels, and that will be in the bad section. But, I love being able to put more than one label on all of my mail.
3. I like the text only ads, and that they are targeted. It doesn't scare me, I'm not paranoid.
Now, the bad:
1. About the labels. There needs to be a way to view only messages that don't have a label. That kind of irks me.
2. Live Journal. I think, until they get the bugs worked out, that I'm going to switch my LJ account back to one of my other email addresses.
3. I want invites Dammit! I'm hitting my one month mark, and no invites yet. *sulks*
